  • 2 cups chopped fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 cup Basil leaves , torn to bits
  • 1/2 cup White onion , chopped finely
  • 1/2 cup Bright red firm tomatoes , chopped finely
  • 1 ripe mango cubed

  • 1/4 cup Sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup White vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • ingredients for the topping:
  • Store-bought crispy spicy-sweet dilis
  • Store-bought candied tamarind

steps

  1. Make vinaigrette by beating together sesame oil, vinegar and honey in a bowl.  Set aside.
  2. Prepare cilantro and basil leaves by washing and drying them in a salad spinner or patting dry with paper towels. Transfer to a bowl and toss in chopped onions, tomatoes and mangoes. Pour dressing over the greens and toss lightly. Top with crispy dilis and tamarind bits. Serve immediately.
