Last Thursday, some of my officemates and I had the pleasure of being invited to Tokyo Tokyo's Launch of their new burger line! Oh yeah!

Tokyo Tokyo is probably one of those brands that is synonymous with Japanese food that's cheap and fast, and good if you're on a budget. To spice things up, they decided to unveil their new rolls, as well as their newest burger offerings.

Here's my super-awesome programmer friend/office mate/calming apple, Geoff, doing what he does best. One of the few things that cemented our friendship in the office was our mutual taste in music. In fact, he actually plays bass for a local band called Halibas!

If you'll notice, those are what's left of the American Rolls - a new kind of maki on the Tokyo Tokyo menu. It's covered with colorful rice puffs, and filled with a lump of cream cheese and spam. I didn't expect to like these, but I really did! I must have eaten ten of these babies because sushi is one of my ultimate weaknesses. They remind me of a hybrid of  Philadelphia Rolls and Spam Musubi. If you're not the adventurous type when it comes to sushi, I think that you'll find that the comforting flavors of the American Rolls will make you change your mind.

The first burger served to us was the Shogun Burger - a premium beef patty smothered in Tonkatsu sauce, crunchy onion rings and cheese. Not bad! It's a pretty hefty order, if you ask me.

You can probably tell that our gorgeous advertising executive, Reiny, really enjoyed this one. I'm glad that my co-workers are the type who have a sense of humor and don't mind getting silly in front of the camera.

Next up was the Shiitake Mushroom Burger. This one, I really enjoyed. I actually dipped it in soy sauce to make it taste more Japanese, and I suggest you do the same! Not a big fan of mushrooms, but I won't say no when it comes to anything with shiitake. We didn't have the chance to try the Godzilla Burger, but we'll make it a point to do so when we're craving Tokyo Tokyo again!

Keep on visiting Tokyo Tokyo for more tasty treats! They have a couple of other burger-rific treats up their sleeve, in fact, so stay tuned for that.

When we thought it couldn't get any better, something magical happened.

Who should grace the event but our favorite Brapanese model and spokesperson for the Tokyo Tokyo burgers - Daniel Matsunaga.

Daniel-Friggin'-Matsunaga. I need a moment to compose myself.

I need to tell you right now that I don't live and breathe showbiz (my co-workers at Inside Showbiz will probably scoff at me for saying that), but he's a very personable character with a charming accent and killer bone structure. So when the meet and greet came along and everyone was just being shy, I figured, why not go for gold?

Ladies and gentlemen, I regret nothing. And apparently, neither does he.

We also had a picture taken with Joan, the PR person of Tokyo Tokyo. Thank you so much for inviting us (and feeding us tasty treats!) to your event! So, ladies and gentlemen, I suggest you make your way to Tokyo Tokyo for some tasty, Japanese-inspired burgers and exciting new sushi rolls!

We love you, Tokyo Tokyo!
