Review

Shinjuku Ramen has two branches in Makati Avenue and Pasong Tamo, both of which are frequented by Japanese nationals, so you have an idea of the quality of the food you'd expect.

Their ramen menu is quite extensive, boasting of over twenty different kinds! The servings at Shinjuku are quite large, so for someone who is a first-timer, we suggest you order the 'small' bowls - which are, in truth, big enough to serve two people. It's actually advisable to order one bowl of ramen and split it with a friend, while ordering another dish, like the gyoza (4 pcs for P175, 6 pcs for P260). We recommend their Sapporo Corn Ramen (P245 for a small bowl, P345 for large), a shoyu-based soup with corn kernels and butter, as well as their Karakuchi Negi (P295 for a small bowl, P395 for large), a miso-based spicy soup with tender chashu pork pieces in it.
