Named after the restaurant’s chef-patron, Marcia Adams is gaining popularity among foodies and travelers for good reason. The restaurant gives you European country cooking at its best: using homegrown ingredients lovingly prepared by a very passionate cook. “I source my ingredients from people I know, and what I can grow, I grow,” Marcia said.

Marcia Adams’ restaurant sits on a hillside, and is part of a large compound owned by Marcia and her English husband Neil. Most people are surprised to know that the restaurant started out (and is still) an extension of the couple’s home, which is just a few steps away uphill. “This serves as our home kitchen as well,” Marcia explained. As the story goes, Neil and Marcia purchased their parcel of land a few years back to satisfy Marcia’s then budding interest in gardening and horticulture. A natural green thumb, Marcia’s garden soon grew to accommodate not just ornamentals, but vegetables and herbs as well. Around this time, Neil was pursuing a bed and breakfast project on the same lot. Neil Adams explained, “To cut the long story short, we ended up staying in the bed and breakfast, and what was supposed to be a hobbyist’s garden turned into a source of inspiration for the restaurant you see here today.”

Dining at Marcia Adams is usually a set menu affair at P700. This is the minimum price for a 3-course meal and can increase depending on your choice of main course. It is advisable to call in advance, especially when you are coming in a large group. This is so that the kitchen can make the proper adjustments to their market purchases and also so that you can be sure that the restaurant will be open upon your arrival.
