Family favorite Kimpura should be high on one’s list of restaurants to celebrate in, and with good reason. Aside from the fresh ingredients and superb cooking techniques, there’s the fun to be had at the teppanyaki table, where select dishes are cooked right in front of you. New additions to the menu include the Dragon Roll (P290), a sweet-savory maki filled with unagi and cucumber, topped with mangoes or avocado and the Dynamite Roll (P220), a fiery mix of spicy tuna, spring onions and pepper, a maki with a light crunch, just enough to make the texture interesting. And then there are the classics, teppanyaki dishes such as the Sukiyaki Steak, Prawns and Oysters (P850), thinly sliced sirloin, fresh prawns and oysters cooked on a hot griddle which are served with a variety of dipping sauces. And then of course, there is the Ebi Tempura (P540), the dish that everyone comes to Kimpura for. Fat shrimp covered in crisp batter, a favorite of the young and old. Kimpura also offers set menus for 6-10 people.
